Darjeeling Second Flush TGFOP
Today Darjeeling tea is called the ‘Champagne of Tea’. Margaret's Hope Estate is one of the most consistent of all the Darjeeling gardens, and is known to tea enthusiasts worldwide as a top Darjeeling producer.
Many tea connoisseurs regard this second picking as the best of the entire season.
Before the arrival of the June monsoons, Darjeeling gets a brief second set of showers, which kicks off the second flush season, producing some of the world’s finest, most sought-after teas.
A distinctive “muscatel” flavour is present, with rounded, fruity, mellow summer flavours creating an almost wine like taste.
